Healing with Shiatsu is a unique business, established by Asi Shnabel CMT, a specialist and instructor of Shiatsu Acupressure and Anma traditional Japanese Massage therapy, which strives to promote Shiatsu and Anma healing arts as unique tools for health management, improvement and awareness.

Healing with Shiatsu is aimed at providing related education, practice and treatments for individuals who truly care for their bodies and seek to improve and utilize their own natural healing powers. It is aimed at encouraging them to integrate Shiatsu-Anma healing in their daily life in an affordable, practical and enjoyable way.

How to prepare for a Shiatsu session:

Shiatsu-Anma is a non-manipulative health modality that depends both on the therapist's skill and on the client's receiving and cooperation. Healing in Shiatsu-Anma is a team work that depends on two: the therapist who creates stimulatus and the client who "breathes into the technique". Together a change in body conditions is possible.

The main goal of the therapy is to "RELEA SE" and not just "RELAX". Therefore it may be possible to reveal toxic energy or matter that may have worsened your health condition. The best way is to allow it to exit your body or be expressed until the body is free.


  • Prior to the session some screening might be administered by the therapist. It is recommended to show up ahead of time (at least 10 minutes).
  • Wear full (whole body) light and flexible clothing. Pressure is best administered through clothing.
  • Avoid coming to the session on a full stomach or very hungry. It is recommended to not eat at least 1 hour prior to the session. In case of hunger it is possible to eat some snack.
  • At the session one should be relaxed as amuch as possible and allow the body to "naturally breath into the pressure". Shiatsu-Anma is a very safe, attentive, accurate and tolerated technique. It's goal is to stimulate the client's Diaphragm to react ("Abdominal breathing") so to regain the natural recovery cycle.
  • Often the therapist may recommend self work at home so to creat sustainable improvment or healing process. For effective results please apply those recommendations and report their effect to the therapist. Your cooperation is very crucial for achieving effective results.
